How to Stop OneDrive File Requests

When you have finished receiving files, you can stop receiving files by following on of the methods below

Method 1: Delete the Folder

  1. Make sure all files have been moved to another location, this method will delete the file request folder and all contents of the folder
  2. Select your file request folder from your homepage and click "Delete". Once the folder is gone, anyone with the link or email can no longer access it.

Method 2: Remove the link

  1. You can remove the share link. This will preserve the folder but keep the contents of the folder and stop anyone from using the link that was shared
  2. Hover over your file request folder and click the three dots, then select "Manage Access".
  3. Then click the "X" next to the link you see, then click "Delete link".
  4. Once the link is deleted, you cannot undo it.  You will need to create a new file request link and send out the new link.
